Sam George: NDC Communication Expert Indeed!

I seldom consult my lexicon because I have enough vocabulary in my arsenal of words to write whatever I want to write without checking the meaning of any word or phrase from my Websters Dictionary of Contemporary English. But for someone like Sam George who calls himself an NDC Communication Expert, I would not have worried myself going for my old and dusty dictionary to find out the meaning of the word expert. Listen to my Websters Dictionary of Contemporary Englishs definition of the word expert: Having special knowledge; a person with special knowledge or skill. Good Lord, what have the good people of Ghana done to deserve such an insult from John Mahama and his bunch of inexperienced appointees? Sam George a Communication Expert? God save our country! The boy is simply an embarrassment to students who are studying Communication. He can best be described as Communication Novice. All the problems President John Mahama is facing are as a result of putting square pegs in round holes. Of all the fine brains in the NDC, Sam George is the only one suitable to be appointed as a Communication Expert at the presidency and paid with the taxpayers money? Is it a matter of job for the boys? If so then permit me to tell the President that if he looks around, he will get boys who also worked so hard to bring him to power and who are real communication experts. Not this buffoon. Recently when Pastor Mensah Otabil made certain comments which did not go down well with the NDC, it was this inexperienced Sam George who was released like a Russian bulldog to insult the man of God. He told the world that Pastor Otabil was issued with a Diplomatic Passport by the Kufuor administration which was withdrawn by the NDC government and so the man of God was peeved. But when the pastor came out to say he had never held any Diplomatic Passport in this country and challenged him to substantiate his allegation, he tugged his tail between his thighs and ran away. He sits on television stations and radio stations spiting nothing but vitriolic invectives, caustic in taste, lying through his teeth with smiles which make him look more like a joker than a government communication expert. This same Sam George was bold enough to tell Ghanaians that Nana Akufo-Addo has been a major recipient of drug money over the years and still living on that evil money for his campaign. He went further: Nana Addo, possibly since 1992 till date, receives funding from drug barons for his campaign and it is clear. We all know about that. And this is John Mahamas Communication Expert! If this is the Sam George who did his national service at the office of the late Alhaji Aliu Mahama when the NPP was in power, then I am sorry John Mahama is in danger. Those who are feeding Sam George with lies should be ashamed of themselves because in 1992, he was barely four (4) years old. In an attempt to bring young people on board in governance, President John Mahama has rather blocked the chances of other young men and women in other political parties. Maybe it is only in the NDC that you can find blockheaded boys like Sam George. It could be that when he was doing his national service in the office of the late Vice President, he divulged some state secrets to the NDC so when they came to power they decided to reward him. And so in order to prove to the NDC that he had come to stay, he is even eating more than the pounder of the fufu. When we were children anytime we went out and insulted an elderly person and the report reached our parents, we received whacking and were sometimes denied food. Our parents would later go to the house of the man we insulted and beg him on our behalf. Not so with John Mahama. From all indications, he enjoys what Sam George is doing to self-made men in this country. I do not know the social status of Sam Georges parents but surely the difference between his father and Nana Akufo-Addo might be like from here to China. Apart from the fact that Nana Addo was an Honourable Parliamentarian for 12 years, he rose up to become the countrys Minister of Justice and Attorney General, and was the Foreign Minister and even chaired the United Nations Security Council. When almost everybody feared General Acheampong in those days when the UNIGOV was being introduced, Nana Akufo-Addo joined the Movement for Freedom and Justice to fight the despot at the peril of his life. Where was Sam George? Nana Addo is a self-made man who worked so hard to become what he is today. They say the sins of the father shall not visit on the son. In the same vein, the sins of the son shall not visit on the father. But sadly, the behaviour of Sam George has turned this saying upside down. His sins shall visit his father because he is attacking the fathers of some people. Has he ever come in contact with any of the four beautiful and intelligent daughters of Nana Addo? Assuming we all go down the gutter and decide to wash the dirty linen of President Mahama in public, what will members of the Council of State say? That is why their silence is a worry to me. If it is their duty to advise the President then they should tell him to rein in his acidic-mouthed hound, else when some of us begin to spit fire, they should keep their distance. People have come a long way to be what they are today and so if a toddler like Sam George hides behind politics to demean them, I dont know what message we are sending to the younger generation who will become leaders of tomorrow. Sam George has bitten more than he can chew; and unless he retracts and apologises for his irresponsible comments, he is in for a long war. And the battleground will be bloody. In the general election, Nana Addo garnered more than five million votes. John Mahama also got five million votes and won with barely three hundred thousand votes. If you insult Nana Addo, you have insulted five million eligible voters who voted for Nana Addo I do not belong to the school of thought which says Nana Addo should respond to Sam Georges comments. Doing so will make him feel as if he (Sam George) matters in the scheme of things. The silence of Nana Addo in the face of the insults and vilifications is golden. If the comments made by this boy were to have been made by a responsible person in our society, I would have encouraged Nana to give a befitting reply; but surely not Sam George who never landed a job in his miserable life until the NDC came to power. Permit me to serve notice, and notice is hereby served, that if this Sam George boy fails to bridle his mouth and continues to insult respectable men in this country, I your irrepressible Earth Angel Gabriel will descend to the edge of the gutter to administer more appropriate verbal punishment, and if necessary go right down into the gutter to teach such an impudent and reckless individual a good lesson and with my mission accomplished, raise myself up into the firmament where angels dwell. If the elders in the NDC continue to keep quiet while boys like Sam George continue to play the buffoonery, it will presuppose that they also support him. In that case the guns will be turned on them at the appropriate time. We will adopt the Zongo tactics: if you insult my father, I insult your father in retaliation. I rest my case for now and when I return to this topic, Pandoras Boxes will be opened. Mark my words. I know you are eager to know the type of cigar I will be puffing today. Sadly when I am angry, I do not smoke cigar.
