Vote Against Incompetent Aspirants Who Hand Out Huge Amount Of Monies: Kofi Adams To Delegates

Aspiring National Organizer of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr. Kofi Adams has advised delegates ahead of the Saturday December 20,2014 NDC National Congress in Kumasi not to vote base on the amount of money or gift items given by contestants. According to him, the voting should be based on competence and not on the fattest of envelopes given to the delegates; adding that the delegates have every right to take those monies if contestants give them as the monies are not coming from their own sweat. Speaking on Metro TVs Good Evening Ghana, Mr. Kofi Adams pressed that the delegates should not be afraid to take the monies if the contestants demanded them to swear on the monies because the monies were given to them for campaigning for a position in NDC which belongs to all of them. He maintained that the contestants as well as the delegates have a stake in the ruling NDC and so any form of threat to cajole the delegates to vote in a certain direction against competence needed for the partys progress should be rejected. If you have to vote Kofi Adams because he gave fattest money, dont vote but vote for me because you feel in heart that Im most competent person for the job even if I didnt give an envelope; if I gave the fattest of envelops and Im incompetent, dont vote for me..that money is not the persons sweat; that money is given to him or her because he is contesting for an NDC position. The NDC belongs to all of us; the money is legitimately yours as a delegates when a contestant gives it to you, even if you swear, nothing will happen because it is not his sweat money, he advised. That money has been given him because he is contesting for a position in your party; a party that you have right over as a member. You are helping me because I am contesting for the National Organizer position of NDC, which is not for me or my property, he insisted. He further stated that people spending money in elections may not go away that easily but advised the delegates to vote based on competence and not on amount of money or whatever gift items given by contestants.
