Former President and founder of the National Democratic Congress [NDC], Jerry John Rawlings has charged the mayor and the people of the nation�s capital, Accra to keep the city clean and neat. According to the president, filth which has engulfed the capital and largest city of Ghana is worrisome and must be addressed. Mr. Rawlings however lauded the Kumasi metropolis for their great efforts in keeping their city clean and urged that the people of Accra replicate it. Addressing delegates at the NDC�s National Delegates Congress in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi, ex-President Rawlings expressed excitement at how Kumasi has been kept clean. �Let me acknowledge how neat and beautiful Kumasi is looking... I hope the people in Kumasi will continue to keep the place neat, clean and healthy. ��I hope all of us who are living and working in Accra will show the same sensitivity and keep that place as clean and neat as Kumasi has done,� he added.
