Asiedu Nketia Was The Worst Performer At NDC Congress

Deputy Communications Director of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Yaw Adomako Baafi has asserted that the General Secretary of the ruling NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia who retained his position was saved by the fact that his contender, Abdullah Farrakhan is not known nationally in the party. According to him, his analysis of the results of Asiedu Nketia in comparison with Abdullah Farrakhans proves that the popularity and the power of Asiedu Nketia is fading out in the ruling National Democratic Congress. He emphasized that the fact that the Branch Chairman of the NDC in New Edubiase could poll votes close to 700 goes to show that if someone from the National level had contested him, he would have lost his seat. Speaking on Oman FMs Morning Show, Yaw Adomako Baafi emphatically stated that Abdullah Farrakhan polling 606 votes in the just ended NDC National Congress in Kumasi is a worst result for the incumbent, Asiedu Nketia after his opponent had used only 5 months to campaign under limited resources. Asiedu Nketias result is even the worst; if you look at the guy who contested Asiedu Nketia, there was no way he should get close to Asiedu Nketias popularity and resources to campaign. The guy was even seen campaigning for Asiedu Nketia but if he was able to get close to 700 votes, in effect NDC members and Mahama, if they have their way they would have sacked Asiedu Nketia from his position...the guy is not a regional but a branch chairman of the NDC in New Edubiase and if he had come from the regional level, he would have overthrew Asiedu Nketia, he said. He however was of the view that the overhauling of the old executives who supposedly helped NDC to win the 2012 elections goes to prove that the NDC rigged the 2012 elections because nobody changes a winning team.
