General Mosquito Must Resign From Post...He Is A Lost Sheep In The NDC - Owusu Bempah

Ernest Owusu Bempah, Communications Director of the National Democratic Party (NDP), has called for the resignation of the General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketia. Owusu Bempah called on Mr. Asiedu Nketia, aka General Mosquito, to resign from his post as a matter of principle. General Mosquito was reported to have endorsed certain candidates for various positions in the party, ahead of the National Congress. Prior to the NDC Delegates Congress at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Saturday, December 23, 2014; General Mosquito reportedly warned the delegates not to elect a bunch of "useless" executives for the party or else he may have to lay down his political tools. But it appears General Mosquito's dream to see certain figures in the party was shattered when the delegates voted for Kofi Portuphy to replace Kwabena Agyei as the party's National Chairman and also showed Yaw Boateng the exit as National Organizer. These two candidates were said to be General Mosquito's favourites. Speaking in an interview with Peacefmonline.com, Owusu Bempah held strongly that the NDC Chief Scribe has "written his political obituary based on the statements that he made prior to the Congress" and is therefore "going to find it very difficult operating in his capacity. According to him, he has spoiled "the game of the NDC." "One would have thought that Mosquito would shut up and then lay his own strategies on the ground but now this thing has happened, I think that he should be in a better position to resign from the party or maybe to resign as the General Secretary because hes [gonna] have it easy at all. He was of a strong view that General Mosquito "has lost his relevance in the NDC. I cant see Mosquito working hand in hand with Kofi Adams and Portuphy together in the same party as he used to do with Yaw Boateng Gyan. To him, General Mosquito has now become a lost sheep in the midst of wolves."
