The management of the National Service Scheme (NSS) has expressed gratitude to all national service persons for their sacrifices, dedication, and contribution to the government�s agenda of improving the livelihood of Ghanaians. In a statement issued in Accra, the acting Executive Director, Dr Michael Kpessa-Whyte, said auditing and validation of pay vouchers at the NSS Secretariat for the payment of November 2014 allowances had been completed and cheques dispatched to the various regions to complete the process of payment of personnel allowances. It said district directors of the scheme were expected to begin payment of the allowances by December 29, 2014; and thus, advised service personnel to contact their respective NSS District Offices to go through the payment processes. It wished all service personnel a merry Christmas and fulfilling New Year; and appealed to user agencies to use the opportunities presented by the yuletide to show appreciation for the work and contributions of service personnel to national development.
