Fear Of Dr Bawumia Has Caused NDC To Create Zongo Caucus

A member of the communication team of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Boakye has given reason for the creation of the Zongo Caucus by the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Zongo Communities of the country ahead of the 2016 general elections. According to him, the fear of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Running Mate of Nana Akufo-Addo has gripped the ruling NDC in all the Northern Regions as he has made the Muslims proud with his exceptional economic prowess, hence the creation of the Zongo Caucus to bantam with the NPP in the Northern sectors. Speaking on Oman Fms Morning Show, the NPP Communicator said that the Muslims have come to accept that Dr. Bawumia has brought honor to the Zongo Communities and the activities of NPP Nasara Club in the Northern Regions have crippled the influence of the NDC over the Northern Regions. He revealed that through the activities of the NPP Nasara, the opposition has maximized the number of seats from three to 10 seats; thus the ruling NDC fear that NPP Nasara Club has become very effective in the Northern Regions. The fear of Dr Bawumia has caused the NDC to create the Zongo Caucus; the inroads he has made and his wide acceptance by the Zongo communities has accounted for the creation of the Zongo Caucus. The Muslims feel proud and honored to have Dr. Bawumia and it is this fear that the NDC has created Zongo Caucus to take care of the Zongo communities, he explained. We have won 10 seats now as we used to have 3 seats and that is the fear that NPP Nasara is very effective in the Northern Regions and so they have to create similar unit to bantam with the NPP, he added. He however chided that all the lies spewed about the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) are being exposed gradually as the NDC is now found in their own accusation that NPP created the Nasara just to make the Muslims feel important. He therefore wondered what necessitated the creation of Zongo Caucus by the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC); asking whether to make Muslims feel important or the Muslims have not all this while been considered in their party.
