No Bonus Row This Time Around - Asamoah Gyan

Skipper of the Black Stars of Ghana, Asamoah Gyan has promised there will be no repetition of the chaos that happened in Brazil during the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The Black Stars team held Ghana to ransom for their appearance fees before playing their final Group G game against Portugal during the World Cup in June 2014. "I promised them [GFA] what happened in Brazil is not going to happen again," the Al Ain attacker told Joy FM. With media speculations over players rejecting the Sports Ministrys proposal to cut their winning bonus, Asamoah Gyan opined that it is nothing to worry about. "What we're doing is to just focus on the tournament, play as Ghanaians, and make sure we deliver because that's the most important thing, Gyan said. He added that money issues have been resolved; "There is no money issue for now; everything has been resolved and what we're thinking of is the tournament in Equatorial Guinea". The Black Stars of Ghana will take on the Teranga Lions of Senegal in the opening Group C match on Monday January 19 in Mongomo.
