An Accra-based private legal practitioner has expressed disappointment with the indiscreet manner in which the counsel for Kwesi Kyei Dakwah (KKD) is going about his defense. To Lawyer Maurice Ampaw, the burden of proof was shifted onto KKD after he admitted to having �consensual sex� with Miss Ewureffe Orleans Thompson. This therefore makes it an uphill task to prove indeed, it was not rape. �The police was even helping him by beginning with an indecent assault investigations, which is bailable but they quickly changed it to rape after he agreed to having sex with the lady. This was not a good strategy of defense because cases like this demand silence�. �I am disappointed with KKD�s lawyers they are making him languish in jail,� he fumed on Okay FM. Touching on the Close Circuit Television (CCTV) footage which captured both KKD and Ewureffe Orleans Thompson kissing and caressing in the hotel lobby before vanishing into a room, Lawyer Ampaw believes it is a �useless piece of evidence�. According to him, the fact that a woman agreed to be kissed does not mean she would want to have sex. �..who told you if you kiss and fondle a lady, it means she wants to have sex? From my own experience, some women would even allow you �finger� her but will never agree to be penetrated with the penis,� he disclosed.
