Asante Kotoko defender Abeiku Ainooson has confirmed a one-year contract extension with the Porcupine Warriors. The 24-year-old who has one more year left on his contract signed a new deal with the Ghana Champions which keeps him at the Club till 2016. Ainooson was reportedly said to have been linked with a move away from the �Reds� with several European and South African Clubs showing interest in acquiring the signature of the talented center-half. The former New Edubiase captain has been impressive with Asante Kotoko since joining the Club at the start of the 2013/14 season. He played an influential role in Kotoko�s double last season by helping them win both the Premier League title and MTN FA Cup trophy. The tough-tackling defender was adjudged the best defender in the 2013/14 First Capital plus Premier League having featured almost all the League games for Kotoko. Asante Kotoko are looking forward in maintaining their squad in other to repeat the excellent feat chalked last season.
