Muntari Goes Berserk Rubbishes Milan Shirt After Substitution

AC Milan and Ghana midfield ace Sulley Muntari has hit the headlines for bad reasons again. Muntari threw down the Rosonneri shirt after he was substituted by coach Philipo Inzhagi in the Milan- Torino 1-1 drawn game last Saturday. He received the bottle of water and AC Milan apparel that would keep him warm on the bitterly cold night from an assistant on the bench, but threw the shirt to the floor violently in anger after being substituted. Muntari exhibited similar temperamental tendencies when he was substituted in one of Black Stars World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho when coach Kwasi Appiah was in charge. The experienced midfielders behavior led to his temporary suspension from the senior national soccer side. He returned to the Black Stars fold, demonstrated brilliance in Ghanas first two Group matches against the US and Germany. However, he physical assaulted Moses Parker, a Black Stars management member, without provocation, before Ghanas final group game against Portugal. That led to his suspension from the team again, and his refusal to render an apology to officials of the team and the Ghana Football Association accounted for his absence from Avram Grants squad preparing for the African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea this month. Recently, the 29-year-old turned down the Presidential World Cup 2014 probe commissions invitation to hear his side of the Brazil World story via skype.
