Ive Been a Victim of Robbery On Two Occasions Within 2 Months - Atik Mohammed

Atik Mohammed has urged the Ghana Police Service to step up their game as they forge ahead to clamp down on criminals in the country. Speaking on Peace FM's Morning Show "Kokrokoo", the Policy Analyst of the People's National Convention (PNC), Atik Mohammed registered his displeasure with the seemingly high rate of armed robbery cases in the nation. Recounting some incidents that he experienced a couple of months ago, last year, Atik Mohammed told host Nana Yaw Kesse that burglars have invaded his residence several occasions, which puts the residents' lives at the mercy of these burglars. According to him, it appears the burglars have devised some sophisticated ways of breaking into people's homes and bolting away with their assets; which sometimes results in the death of the victims. Ive been a victim of our recent security situation on two occasions within a space of less than two months...Just last week, the second operation happened and what really disturbs me a lot is that it was done in the afternoon. This means were neither safe in the afternoon nor in the night." Atik Mohammed therefore implored the Police Command to heighten security in the country. Though he wouldn't undermine the efforts by security services to combat crime in the society, he however believes the Police Service needs more improvement in the fight against criminals in the country. Though the Police are working hard; I think you need to up your game a little moreI plead that they should improve a little more on the way they respond to situations of crime and so forth," he pleaded.
