Pious NPP MP In Fraud -Swindles A Nigerian And EOCO?

The aL-hAJJs investigations have uncovered how a New Patriotic Party (NPP) first timer legislator cum private legal practitioner from the Central region defrauded his client and the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) of huge sums of money. The greenhorn NPP Member of Parliament, (whose identity for now is veiled) and who has gained notoriety for lashing at government officials over alleged corrupt practices is said to have cunningly drawn huge sums of money from a Nigerian business man to ensure he was granted bail. The Nigerian business mogul (name withheld), The aL-hAJJ gathered was arrested by EOCO for investigations relating to some suspected illegal business dealings in the country. Accounts from sources at EOCO indicate that while under investigations, his lawyer, who doubles as one of the young NPP MPs struggling to join the comity of garrulous legislators, collected various sums of monies from the Nigerian to see EOCO officials for his freedom. But to the utter surprise of the Nigerian business man, he continued to spend time at the EOCO headquarters under detention even though he gave the NPP MP all the monies he demanded to get him out of custody. Even though the NPP MP, who has presented himself as pious and consistently blame government officials including President Mahama for their complicity in the SADA, SUBAH, GYEEDA, Metro Mass and Woyome scandals; his recent conduct showed he is the worse culprit when it comes to corruption. The young millionaire MP of cross cultures of Volta and Central met his waterloo when the Nigerian business man narrated his ordeal to a close friend who visited him while in detention. His friend in turn reported the case to EOCO officials who called the MP for questioning. Sources say the supposed righteous NPP legislator who prides himself of supplanting a Minister in the last parliamentary elections, broke down and confessed. He was said to have pleaded with EOCO officials not to let the issue out because of his status as a supposed anti-corruption crusader and lead advocate for the prosecution of corrupt government officials. The MP is said to have promised to refund all the monies he took from the Nigerian businessman, and even assist him without any compensation, if he so wish, to solve his problem with EOCO. The aL-hAJJ has gathered that the NPP MP is using prominent members of his party to plead with the Nigerian business tycoon to seal the mouth of his friends who might have heard the issue to prevent it from getting out. He has since been fired by the Nigerian as his lawyer. This paper is still following the story and will keep readers posted on subsequent developments.
