NDC Has Done Enough But NPP Doesnt Want To See

The Western Regional Vice Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Mahama Fuseini has stated that the erroneous impression being created in the minds of Ghanaians that the Better Ghana Agenda being propagated by the ruling government has failed is the devilish work of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP). According to the NDC vice Chair, the NPP would continue to live in a fools paradise if they still hold on to that devilish propaganda, despite the numerous developmental projects being executed by the government across the length and breadth of the country. Addressing party supporters at the Kwesimintsim constituency after inauguration of the party Youth wing, the NDC Vice Chairman pointed out that the physical projects being undertaken by the government was enough testimony that the Better Ghana Agenda was on course. It is only the NPP which is creating the impression that the Better Ghana Agenda has failed and that the country is now in hard times. He continued look at the development projects the government has embarked on, so if anyone comes to tell you that there is no better Ghana Agenda, the person might be living in a fools paradise. To him, the NPP were only trying to play the ostrich, hence the partys position that the better Ghana Agenda has failed. That notwithstanding, Alhaji Mahama called on the party communication team to counter the opposition party claims since the government has done a lot. Turning his attention to the Sekondi-Takoradi metropolis, the NDC Vice Chairman questioned the contribution of the opposition NPP Members of Parliament (MPs) to the development of the metropolis. The NDC Vice Chairman believes the MPs have contributed nothing to the development of the Sekondi-Takoradi and its environs to merit their continuous stay as Legislators in the House of Parliament. The Sekondi-Takoradi metropolis has five constituencies which from time immemorial had been occupied by the opposition NPP. The five parliamentary seats are the Takoradi, Sekondi, Essikado-Ketan, Effia and Kwesimintsim. Alhaji Mahama singled out the Sekondi, Essikado and Kwesimintsim constituencies being represented by Hon. Paapa Owusu Anomah, Joe-Ghartey and Joseph Baidoe Ansah as areas which the NPP had dominated in terms of parliamentary votes for years, yet nothing good had come from the stewardship of the aforementioned personalities. It is as a result of this that the NDC Vice Chairman called on the inaugurated Youth wing of the party to work hard to wrestle the five parliamentary seats from the hands of the NPP. On his part, the regional Youth Organizer, Muhammed Yunus, who inaugurated the youth wing, charged them to work hard to wrestle the Kwesimintsim Parliamentary seat from the hands of the incumbent NPP MP. According to him, the time to wrestle the seat was now and no other time.
