Mills' Spirit Must "Rise Up" & Discipline Ametor Quarmyne - Bantama MP

Member of Parliament for Bantama, Henry Kwabena Kokofu has expressed disappointment in NDC communicator, Eric Ametor Quarmyne for telling Ghanaians to ride bicycles if they cannot afford to buy fuel for their cars. Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Hon. Kokofu found Ametor Quarmyne's statement very inappropriate and offensive to the sensibilities of Ghanaians. Mr. Ametor Quarmyne ordered Ghanaian car owners to park their cars and ride bicycles if they think the new adjustments in fuel prices seem less significant to them. The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) announced a 10% cut on petrol prices in the nation but several transport workers have refused to reduce transport fares for the reason that the prices should have been reduced by 50 percent. Petrol consumers across the nation urged government to review the prices further downwards following massive decline of the commodity on the World Market. Addressing the issue on Asempa FMs Ekosii Sen programme Monday, Mr. Ametor Quarmyne said those protesting are talking too much and can show their displeasure by refusing to buy them or park their cars at home and ride bicycles to work, instead of attacking government needlessly.
