Mr Kofi Afful, Chairman of the Accra-Akuapem Drivers Union, has entreated drivers to ensure the regular maintenance of their vehicles, in order to make the travelling public comfortable.
Mr Afful who gave the advice in an interaction with the Ghana News Agency in Accra, said this will also improve the driver�passenger relationship, to ensure safety on the roads.
He reiterated the call on drivers to be disciplined, by observing road traffic regulations.
Mr Afful cautioned drivers to guard against recklessness, carelessness, over-speeding and wrongful over-taking, to help reduce carnage on our roads.
He urged motorists to co-operate with stakeholders in the transport industry, to ensure sanity and improvement in the industry.
