Mahama Should Rather Use 10% Fuel Price Reduction To Buy Light Crude To End Dumsor- NDC MP

Member of Parliament for Techiman South Constituency on the ticket of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Adjei Mensah has given a directive to President Mahama and his economic management team to focus on a permanent way to end the erratic power supply.

According to him, many businesses are collapsing as productivity is low due to the erratic power supply and it is proper for the government to come up with immediate solution to permanently end the “Dumsor” [erratic power] which has become a tag name on the NDC government.

Speaking on Oman Fm’s Morning Show, Hon. Adjei Mensah indirectly pinpointed that the 10% fuel price reduction was a misplaced priority as such money should rather be channeled to buy light crude as the only alternative means at the moment to resolve the erratic power supply problem.

To him, the government has been unable to buy the light crude because it is expensive, directing that Mahama’s economic management should rather use the 10% fuel price reduction money to purchase the light crude oil to generate power for the country.

“Management of the economy should rather consider using the 10% reduction of the fuel price to buy the light crude oil. Light crude is expensive to buy and that is the problem the country is going through and the only way to end the erratic power supply is to use the 10% reduction of fuel price to buy light crude," he urged.

He maintained that Ghanaians will rather appreciate the government for supplying power for 24 hours than the reduction in fuel price which is not even reflecting in the pockets of Ghanaians.
