I Will Not Contest Asokwa Seat Again - Kofi Jumah

Maxwell Kofi Jumah, a former Member of Parliament for Asokwa in the Ashnati Region has denied media reports that he would contest the Asokwa Parliamentary seat.

Speaking to Kwame Nkrumah Tikesie on Okay FM , Hon. Kodfi Jumah who is also known as "Kofi Ghana" categorically denied the assertion that plans are far advanced to stage a comeback for the parliamentary seat which he lost in the 2011 primaries.

“Kwame, neither have I made that intention known to anyone nor done anything to indicate that thought...I have had countless calls to run again. People have gone ahead to print my posters and banners without my knowledge but the fact is, I will not contest again.

“The delegates voted me out I respect their decision so they let me be,” he categorically said.

Kofi Ghana who has been the MP of Asokwa for eight years further lamented the way and manner he has been treated since leaving office.

“…Kwame can you believe I have not been invited to any function in my Constituency since I lost, not even one. I rather get calls from people and institutions like Universities all across the country except Asokwa, so that must tell us all something,” he added.
