President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi is very optimistic Ghana will advance to the finals of the on-going African Cup of Nations [AFCON].

He was however not specific if Ghana will win the trophy for the fifth time but insisted the Black Stars will pull a surprise at Equatorial Guinea.

According to him, the Stars are “taking a match at a time and I believe we will get to the finals. But most importantly, we have to concentrate on our next match and win. The team must remain focused”.

Ghana advanced to the last eight of the AFCON 2015 after beating South Africa 2-1 on Tuesday.

The Black Stars had to come from behind to win through second half goals from John Boye and Andre Ayew.

Kwesi Nyantakyi who lauded the players for the victory urged them to listen carefully to the coach’s tactics after calling on Ghanaians to support the Stars.
