Solomon Nkansah Advised To Reason Llike An Adult'

Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen has advised his colleague politician, Solomon Nkansah of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to ‘reason like an adult and not a pupil from Silicon Valley school’, a primary school in Accra.

The Communications Officer of the NDC said at a gathering in the Western Region last weekend that the chairman of transport union, GPRTU ‘is a serial loser of the NPP parliamentary primaries at Ablekuma constituency’ and hence argued the group was affiliated to the party.

His affiliation to the NPP, he said is part of the reason the organization has refused to reduce transport charges after government reduced petroleum prices by 10%. “The NPP first increased fuel by 64% and GPRTU was made to increase fares by 15%. The following period, they increased fuel by 94% and GPRTU was made to increase fares by 20% so what has changed?” he said.

He therefore called on Ghanaians to boycott the GPRTU to protest the "unfair treatment" they are meting out to government.

But these claims, the NPP Lawyer says, hold no water, insisting it would be better for the NDC executive member ‘to up his reasoning.’

“Even primary school children in Silicon valley would not reason and talk like this…they know too well that reducing petroleum prices by 10% does not mean transport fares should be decreased…,” he said on Okay FM.
