I Will Stop Odike And The UFP Congress - Gyataba Vows

The embattled Chairman of the United Front Party (UFP), Nana Agyenim Boateng, popularly known as ‘Gyataba’ has promised listeners of Okay FM to do all in his power to restrain the former Flag-bearer of the party and his cohorts from organizing a congress.

To him, any attempt by Akwesi Addae Odike to organize and hold any meeting in the name of the party is against the law and would be held for contempt.

“…I will do everything in my power to stop them. Odike must know that if even he stands under the flag of the party which can be deemed as contempt of court,” Gyataba asserted.

But in an earlier interview, Samuel Bekoe Owusu is of the view that all is set for the party to go to congress to elect its leaders for the next four years as the party is done with all the regional elections with the exception of Brong Ahafo Region which will be conducted after the national delegates' congress.

“Unlike other political parties, the UFP will use the same occasion to elect new national executives as well as flagbearer, and all is in position for the congress to come off on Saturday, 14th February, 2015,” he told Kwame Nkrumah Tikesie .

However, Gyataba has vowed to move Heaven and Earth to stop any gathering by Odike and his followers in the name of the UFP.

“…Not again will they meet in the name of the party,” he maintained.
