CKEF Trains Over 75 English Teachers In Asuogyaman District

Over seventy five (75) English teachers in the Asuogyaman district of the Eastern Region, have been schooled on a new Literature book which has been introduced by G. E. S for study at Junior High School level.

‘Cock Crow’ the book subsequently is included in the Basic Education Certificate examination (B. E. C. E) with the purpose of introducing literature at the J. H. S level curriculum, is to improve reading comprehension and critical thinking skills among the J. H. S graduates.

The training was conducted by Connecting Kids Education Foundation (CKEF) which is an N GO in collaboration with the Asuogyaman district education service. At the ceremony, the Executive Director, Ellen Blamires, explained that the two days training workshop is part of the organization's contribution to strengthen the capacity of teachers on a broader basis within the district to teach literature in schools.

He reiterated that it will indeed help the teachers to adopt the strategies from the workshop to improve their effectiveness in the classroom.
