The Devil Himself Is Aware Mahama Has Done A Lot For Volta Region...

The Volta Regional Minister, Madam Helen Adwoa Ntoso has called on the people from the Volta Region to praise President Mahama for the numerous development projects he has initiated in the region, instead of hanging him.

According to her, detractors of the president who are living in Accra are making all kinds of allegations that nothing was going on in the region, when in fact the opposite is what they are saying.  To her, these people have deliberately decided not to recognize the good things going on in the region, for reasons she could not fathom.

The Volta Regional Minister, who said this at a durbar held in her honour by the chiefs and people of Ave-Dakpa, the District capital of the newly created Akatsi North District, said all the promises made to the people in the region by President Mahama are being honoured.

Madam Ntonso noted that as God gave promises to his people and never failed to deliver to them, so will President Mahama also deliver all the promises he has made to the people in the region.  According to her, development projects ranging from building of new classrooms, accommodation for workers and market in the Akatsi North District alone was overwhelming.

The Minister said, “when people who do not know or deliberately decide not to know the level of development projects being carried out in the Volta region, then what I would tell them is that may the good Lord open their eyes to see very well and I am doing my possible best to ensure that what government promised the people of the Volta region would be fully delivered so that when President Mahama visits the region, he would be satisfied,” she stressed.

Madam Ntoso pointed out that whether the critics of President Mahama like it or not, he is performing, stressing “it is very clear the numerous development projects being carried out in our region and what I am saying is not a secret, for the devil himself is aware of this fact”.

She, therefore, admonished the people of the region not to take negative utterances of people concerning the development of the region serious, because such talks would not help in changing the ongoing development plan put in place for the people of the Volta region.

The Regional Minister mentioned provision of potable water, the eastern corridor road and the provision of permanent infrastructure for the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), as some of the projects being executed in the region.

“Let us continue to support the President and government for the good Lord to continue to bless us for the Lord had been very fair to this nation to the extent that even in January 2015, we still continue to experience heavy rains and we need to be very much grateful,” She stressed.
