Bats Invade School Classroom At Dormaa West

Bats have invaded a basic school in the Dormaa West District of the Brong Ahafo region.
The mammals, are said to be disrupting academic work in the school.

The invasion has heightened fears over a possible Ebola outbreak since the hemorrhagic fever was reported to have been first transmitted from a bat.

The headteacher of the Diaba Local Authority Primary School, Mr Alfred Kumi, told Accra based radio station, Starr FM that the bats have invaded all their classrooms and were disrupting academic work.

“The bats have invaded all our classrooms and it is making our academic work very difficult,” he said.

He added: “aside the noise the bats make, their faeces have a pungent smell, infact the scent is very bad and making the class uncomfortable to stay in”.

The head teacher therefore appealed to the District Assembly to come to their aid to help get rid of the bats.
