Law On Salaries For Presiding And Assembly Members In The Making
Presiding and Assembly members will soon be paid from the consolidated fund.
This will be determined by an independent body comprising the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission and the Article 71 Committee which determines emoluments for political office holders and top civil servants.
A Local Government Expert, Professor Kwamena Ahwoi made this known to Radio Ghana.
He said a law to this effect is expected to be passed by Parliament soon.
