Son Kills Father For Refusing To Give Him His Inheritance (Warning: Graphic Image)

During the days of Sunday school, we were told of a story where a prodigal son demanded that his father share his property and give him his portion. After collecting his share, he moved out of the house until his money got finished and he decided to go back to his Father and ask for forgiveness. (Luke 15:11-32)

The story has somehow repeated itself again just that with this, the son decided to kill the father.

A 30-year-old palm wine tapper has allegedly killed his 58-year-old father for refusing to give him his inheritance.

The unfortunate incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday at Denkyira Asikuma in the Central Region.

According to Ebenezer Salvation of Solar FM, Dunkwa on Offin, the palm wine tapper called Coffie asked his father, Kojo Dede to share his property and give him his portion but he (father) declined.

This went on for a while until he became tired of asking and attacked his father with a hoe, allegedly killing him in the process.

According to Salvation, Coffie is the first son of the first wife of Kojo Dede.

Kojo Dede is married to three wives and they all have children for him. Due to the number of children he has, Kojo Dede asked his son to be patient but he couldn't.

Meanwhile, residents as well the Police are looking for Coffie who absconded after the attack.
