NDC Youth Would've Burnt Down Office In Kumasi If I Had Not Intervened

A leading member of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region, has disclosed that the party's office in Kumasi would have been burnt down had he not intervened.

Steven Atubiga, a Communications team was speaking to AK47 on Neat 100.9, about his threat to organize a mass demonstration to lock up all party offices across the country due to the “selfish” and “greedy” nature the leadership of the party in the region.

To Mr. Atubiga, the executives of the NDC in Ashanti Region have disrespected foot-soldiers for far too long and must be brought to order.

…the stupidity being exhibited by party executives in Kumasi did not start today. The youth would have burnt down the regional office if I had not stopped them

…our national and regional executives must be very, very careful otherwise we will take them by storm…they must be very careful!” he warned.

This comes on the back of the storming of the Kumasi Office by a group of irate youth who claim to be foot-soldiers of the NDC in the region.

The group is calling for the resignation of the Chairman of the party, Mr. Yaw Obimpeh and his cohorts, who they believe are the saboteurs of the Mahama-led Administration.

The siege on the party’s Regional Office nearly turned violent after another group of machete wielding activist of the party were called in to confront the first group.
