Woyome Will Win AGs Appeal Case Ken Agyapong

Outspoken Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, is predicting victory for embattled businessman, Alfred Woyome as the state appeals his acquittal and discharge in the infamous GHC51 million judgement debt scandal in court.

According to him, the Attorney General, Marietta Brew Appiah-Oppong who is leading the state prosecution is herself complicit. Ken Agyapong's comments come after Mr. Woyome revealed that the A-G also benefitted from the 51 million judgement debt.

Due to this, he called on her to resign because she after receiving approximately $1 million from the judgement debt cannot jail him.

Speaking on Asempa FMMonday, Ken Agyapong said the latest exposé vindicate him.

“I told Ghanaians this woman can't retrieve the money from Woyome because she benefitted from the Woyome cash but no one believed me,” he stressed.

The Assin Central MP noted that the latest epistle of Alfred Woyome is just a tip of the iceberg.

He indicated that the case is a test case for President Mahama to prove he is indeed committed to fighting corruption in the country.

“President Mahama must fire his lawyer, Tony Lithur and sack the Attorney General for us to believe that he is ready to fight corruption,” he added.

Ken Agyapong also advised Mr. Woyome to as a matter of urgency obey to Supreme Court ruling and refund the money to the state to save himself more embarrassments.
