Namibia Set To Deepen Relations With Ghana

The Namibian High Commissioner to Ghana, His Excellency Charles B. Josob, has stated that his country is to ready deepen relations with Ghana and the rest of Africa as the continent seeks to become a better place.

He said Namibia, just like any country, is a friendly nation willing to share its beauty and resources as well as assist other nations in Africa and the rest of the world.

The High Commissioner made this assertion during the official opening of the Namibian High Commission located at the Airport Residential Area on the Nortei Ababio Street in Accra, Ghana.

He mentioned that his country has a liberal investment climate that allows any investor the atmosphere of making profit and reinvesting it in the country.

He added that Namibia also has a welcoming visa regime which allows tourists to obtain visa at a low tariff and get the opportunity of experiencing the hospitable nature of Namibians.

He noted that the opening of the commission signifies his country’s readiness to serve Ghanaians and strengthen the cordial relationship between the two countries.

He said the government of the Republic of Namibia had decided to give full meaning to the bilateral relations between the two countries, hence the opening of the High Commission.

He said it was historical to note that the Commission was opened exactly a day prior to the country’s independence anniversary.

He said March 21 would also be an important day to the country since there was peaceful handing over of power between President Pohamba and President-elect Hage Godfried Geingob, which would make him the third democratically elected President of the Republic of Namibia.
