President Launches E-Cabinet Platform

President John Mahama has launched the e-cabinet platform, an IT mechanism to enhance the work of the Cabinet.

The platform provides for an electronic archiving of cabinet papers with ease of search and retrieval functionalities, and will provide for alert systems on outstanding tasks and new announcements.

The implementation of the e-Cabinet platform effectively phases out the manual distribution of documents and embraces technology in the conduct of cabinet business.

In his remarks at the launching ceremony at the Flagstaff House yesterday, President Mahama noted that the introduction of the electronic platform would enhance the efficiency of Cabinet ministers.

He said it would also allow for the timely dissemination of information on development agenda and documents.

The President encouraged all ministers who were not yet fully conversant with the platform to do so, indicating that all announcements and documents would be distributed via the platform from the next Cabinet meeting.
