Vice President John Mahama is currently leading a high-powered government delegation to Kumasi, to confer with the chairman of the Committee of Eminent Chiefs on Dagbon, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
The delegation will be briefed on what has been done so far with respect to the Dagbon chieftaincy mediation efforts.
The brief is to enable government appreciate the work of the Committee of Eminent Chiefs with a view to drawing a roadmap for a way forward.
Accompanying the Vice President are the National Security Advisor, the Minister for Defence and Interior as well as Professor Kofi Agyekum of the National Peace Council.
