Residents of Ayigya Zongo in Kumasi Monday put into action their distrust for the Police when they lynched and burnt two suspected robbers believed to be in their mid twenties near Affordable housing project.

They have vowed to lynch any armed robber they catch because they are being terrorized every day by unidentified robbers.

The residents justified their action of meting out the instant justice because they claim they do no trust the police, and that anytime a suspected robber is arrested and handed over to the police, the police will set the suspect free in some few days.

The suspects were caught at about 4am when they attempted to snatch a laptop and phone from a student at a gun point.

The pleas of the suspected robbers for mercy fell on deaf ears as the angry residents went ahead to set them ablaze.

They claim, their action is to deter others from engaging in robbery activities and find themselves a decent job to earn income.
