Three out of the seven persons who broke cell at the Denu police station have been recaptured at Agbozume in the Ketu South district upon a tip off.

The Volta Regional police commander. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP), Mr Peterkin Yentumi Gyinae confirmed on Wednesday.

He however failed to reveal the identity of the recaptured escapees because the police would want to use them to investigate further for the arrest of others.

It will be recalled that seven suspects remanded at the police cell at the Denu police escaped with two AK 47 guns and 25 rounds of ammunition and fled to unknown destinations

The police had therefore mounted an intensive search for the jail breakers as far as into neighbouring Togo with their photos circulated.
