Institute Of Business Analysts Supports Weija Leprosarium

The Institute of Chartered Business Analysts (ICBA), a professional institute for business analysts, has donated assorted items worth GH¢5,000 to the inmates of the Weija Leprosarium in Accra.

The items included assorted drinks, three bags of rice, cooking oil, clothing, washing powder and toiletries.

Making the donation, the President of the institute, Dr Emmanuel O. Assiamah, said it formed part of the organisation’s social responsibility to support the needy in society.

He said the donation was to make the inmates feel accepted.

Dr Assiamah encouraged the inmates not to lose hope in their situation but to rely on the Almighty God in all their endeavours.

He announced that the institution would celebrate “Business Analyst Week” which would involve a lot of activities and donations to the less-privileged in society.

“We will continue to donate to the needy in society and also assist the Home in any possible way,” he added.

He commended the management and the caretakers of the leprosarium for their devotion and love for the inmates.

Appreciation
Madam Adobea, the prefect of the home, who received the items on behalf of Rev. Father Andrew Campbell. thanked the organisation for the donation.

She said the items would be used for the intended purpose and called on other corporate institutions to come to their aid.

The Resident Nurse of the leprosarium, Francisca Selorm, praised the institution for their support for the inmates.

She appealed to benevolent individuals, as well as corporate bodies, to come to the aid of the centre, and added, “We need a lot of assistance to be able to support the inmates. Rev. Father Campbell cannot do it all alone.”
