If you should look closely and study the Holy Scriptures well, you can easily spot the similarities between King Nebuchadnezzar who lived in the 630 B.C. and the current president of Ghana, John Mahama, claims the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako.

Chairman Wontumi, as he is affectionately called, asserts that when a president starts likening himself to a ruminant, then the people he lords over should know there is absolutely something wrong and his end is near.

Speaking to Peacefmonline.com over issues of President Mahama’s dead goat syndrome comments, Chairman ‘Wontumi’ explained that the last time a mighty king acted like a ruminant was when God humbled King Nebuchadnezzar by making him eat grass like an animal.   

With the magnitude of “corrupt and idolatrous” acts exhibited by President Mahama and his ministers, Chairman ‘Wontumi’ insists there is nothing wrong in saying “King Nebuchadnezzar’s genes runs in President Mahama”.

King Nebuchadnezzar’s fall begins with the Prophet Daniel informing the King that he was the tree that would be chopped down by God.  Failure on the part of the King to listen to him, made him lose his sanity and kingdom. For this reason, he dwelled with beasts in the field and ate grass like oxen.

It was only when Nebuchadnezzar acknowledged that God gave him the Chaldean kingdom, did he recover his mind. The prophet Daniel implored the king to break off his sins and show mercy to the oppressed.
