Nana Addo Is Day Dreaming; Youth In Ashanti Region Prefers NDC To NPP - NDC Communicator

A member of the communication team of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Brogya Gyamfi has described the leader of the opposition NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo as a day-dreamer in his quest to amass 85 percent votes in the Ashanti Region in the upcoming 2016 elections.

According to Nana Akufo-Addo at a meeting with Subin Constituency members of the NPP in his Nima home, the 1 million vote campaign of the NDC in the Ashanti Region is a mirage; further assuring that the NPP leadership has targeted not less than 85% of the popular votes in the Ashanti Region.

But responding to NPP target in Ashanti Region, the NDC communicator said the three-time Flagbearer of the NPP is funny and a dreamer who doesn’t know what he is saying with regards to the voting pattern in the Ashanti region.

He rather insisted that the ruling NDC will exceed the 1 million votes target in the 2016 elections, giving the reason that NDC in Ashanti region has worked and still working hard to change the misconstrue story told by NPP about the ruling NDC that the founder, Mr. Rawlings is wicked, and a murderer.

He maintained that the strength of NDC in Ashanti region keeps increasing tremendously every year as in 2004 NDC had 200,000 votes and 11 years down the lane, NDC had 600,000 votes in 2012 elections; “this shows how the party is growing from strength to strength,” he said.

He again pointed out that former President Kufuor who is a royal from the Ashanti region never had 85 percent of votes in the region, making it impossible for Nana Akufo-Addo who has neither done anything for the Ashantis nor helped them achieve anything get 85 percent of votes.

He further challenged the NPP 2016 Flagbearer that the NDC will halve the total vote cast in the Eastern region where he [Nana Addo] comes from; asking him to bother on the intention of the NDC in the Eastern region and not in the Ashanti region.

To the NDC communicator, nothing shows Nana Akufo-Addo can come close to his dream in the Ashanti region because in the history of the 4th Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo is the opposition leader who has performed poorly in elections.
