Visa Fiasco: African Origin Boss To Mount Dock Threatens To Deal With Reporter If He Publishes Story

The Chief Executive Officer of the African Origin Travel and Sports Tourism, Sampson Deen, has been dragged to court  to show course why he has refused to refund monies to his clients, after failing to secure them Visas for the 2014 Under-20 Women World Cup in Canada.

According to the writ signed by the Registrar at the Kumasi District Court, the plaintiffs, Agbanyo Cobbina Mercy and Nicholas Agbeko are claiming from the defendant (Sampson Deen) a sum of GH¢2000 , being monies collected from them (plaintiffs) with the view of securing them Canadian Visas.

The writ said the defendant, after collecting the monies failed to secure them the visas, and has since allegedly failed to refund the monies, hence the court action. They are also demanding “An interest on the said GH¢2000, beginning from March 2014 till date of final payment of the amount.”

But when this reporter contacted Mr. Sampson Deen yesterday, he said he was not aware of the court summons and further requested that a copy be sent to him through whatsapp (a social media network).

During the interview Mr. Deen said he was going to make sure the plaintiffs’ monies were refunded even before the court’s date for hearing nears.

However, shockingly, the following day, Mr. Deen called back this reporter and threatened to make hell break loose if the story is published.

According to him, rather than publish the story, it was an opportunity for the reporter to establish relationship with him. “At the end of the day what do you seek to achieve, you have published it and so what?  Is that not all? But one day, one day, maybe in the future it will come back again, maybe you don’t know. Yesterday I even spent time to explain to you what went on in 2014, the situation we as a company have gone through, and you want to add up to our problems.”

He further threatened, “You are a young man so be careful, you can record me and go and play it to your boss, do you think it is today that we started? Go ahead and do it and let’s see in this country. Go ahead and publish it, it is my own company, so go ahead. Go to Google and type Sampson Deen, you will know who I am. There are good and bad stories about me, but I don’t care.”

“Go and ask Captain Smart of Adom FM and co., I have fed them before …I have a radio station in Kumasi and a Television Station almost near completion to commence operation. So when you called, as a smart guy you should have rather established relationship with me than to say you are going to provide a balanced reportage. Go ahead and do the story and you will see. I know your office; I have your contact number, So go ahead.” Mr. Sampson Dean screamed on the phone.

According to the African Origin boss, “Russell Wiafe of happy FM lied about me that I had organized people to beat him up in South Africa, and after two years he came to apologize in my office. So go ahead and do the story and you will also come and beg me.”

Stay tuned as we bring you details of the story in our subsequent editions.
