Eighteen people have been confirmed dead in a fatal accident on the Tema-Dawhenya road.
The accident which involved an STC vehicle and an articulated truck collided head on in front of a fuel station and somersaulted into a nearby pit.
The incident happened in the early hours of Friday afternoon.
An eye witness, Augustine Kyereme who confirmed the incident on Adom FM’s Midday News Friday said the accident was so severe to the extent that none of the passengers in the car survived but died instantly.
“Everybody died and I’m not sure they will survive. It was terrible” the eye witness said.
