Four Ghanaians Found Dead in South Africa

Four Ghanaians have been found dead in a salon in Heibron in Free State, South Africa.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hannah Tetteh in a Facebook post said: “Our Embassy in South Africa reports that 4 Ghanaians – a man, two women and a baby were found dead in a salon in Heibron in Free State in South Africa, our Embassy further informs us that information from the South African police confirms the deaths but the cause of death cannot be immediately ascertained.”

She said the initial Police report indicates that the salon where they were found was locked and that they had to break into the salon before they found anyone adding that “further all four deceased persons were found foaming at the mouth. The bodies have since been removed for post mortems to be conducted.”

At least six people have been killed in the last two weeks in xenophobic attacks in Durban.

South African locals are accusing foreign immigrants of taking over their jobs and businesses hence attacking shops and homes owned by African immigrants.

Hannah Tetteh had earlier disclosed that one Ghanaian, Emmanuel Quarcoo had died as a result of the attacks in Durban.
