Im On Course Tei Larbi

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Lower Manya Constituency in the Eastern Region, Hon Emmanuel Tei Larbi, has indicated that he is on course as far as the development of his constituency is concerned.

This came against the many criticisms and accusations levelled against him by some people within the constituency who also have the ambition of contesting him in the coming NDC primaries.

Speaking to the MP, he stressed the many machinations and allegations being circulated against him are plots by his detractors to destroy him.

This paper has established that some unscrupulous persons (names withheld) eyeing the Parliamentary seat have begun a smear campaign against the MP in bid to scuttle his future political ambition.

But, speaking to Mr. David Walter, the NDC Constituency Chairman for the Lower Manya Constituency, he extolled the achievements of the MP and said they are also aware of such sinister plot to destroy him and the MP, and to make the grounds very rough for Tei Larbi before the primaries.

"We are aware of all these machinations, but we are not moved at all because the MP has done a lot for the people and the constituency and so no amount of such ill attacks will work," he said.

"Those people are also doing this to ensure that the President does not consider Hon Tei Larbi for any position again," he said.

However, in chronicling some of the things that the MP has done for his people, David Walter averred that the MP who was also the Deputy Minister For Lands and Natural Resources, has built a CHIP Compound at Yokoenor, constructed a Teachers' Bungalow at Bele Manya, a market shed at Akuse, and constructed culverts at Ayimesu to link the village to the town.

He also pointed out that Hon Tei Labi had donated (ten) laptop computers each to all the Junior High Schools, fifteen (15) desktop computers each to three Senior High Schools in the constituency.

"He has also donated literature books for JHS. Hundred (100) each to all JHS in the constituency and instituted an Agricultural Scheme for which he distributed agro products to farmers in the constituency who will sell the products and use the money to expand their farms," he added.

David Walter also enumerated that the MP's achievements surpasses what has been done in some constituencies, adding that Hon Tei larbi helped his communities by providing seven boreholes for the farming communities, supported 112 Senior High and Tertiary students with payment of school fees.

"He  has renovated nurses bungalow at Oborpah,  sponsored 38 young girls and boys into apprenticeship training, hairdressing, welding, tailoring and I can confirm to you that he is in constant touch with the people; where he engages them on issues affecting them, what they need and how he can assist in solving their problems."

He also explained that the MP has donated Motorbikes and computers to all police stations and fire service stations in the constituency, donated office equipments, laptops, projector, photocopier at GH ¢12,000 to the District Health Directorate, constructed a public toilet for the people of Ayikpala-Kpong and a Mosque project for the Agomanya Zongo community.
