Sarkodie's Hand Shake With Nana Addo Causing Controversy

For the past few days now, some Ghanaian celebrities have bitterly expressed frustrations about Ghana’s unending power crisis christened as “Dumsor”.

Notable among them is Ghanaian rapper and multiple award winning artist, Michael Owusu Addo, better known by his stage name “Sarkodie”.

The acclaimed fastest rapper has lashed out at President John Dramni Mahama’s governance after describing government appointees as “selfish” on twitter.

Sarkodie tweets about living conditions in Ghana and how the country’s leaders are not paying attention to the needs of the citizenry.

He and other celebrities who have voiced out their frustrations have been lambasted by some NDC well-wishers and party members after tagging them as sympathizers of the opposition New Patriotic Party [NPP].

However, picture of Sarkodie with NPP’s flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the annual Ghana's Most Influential awards organized by Global Media Alliance's subsidiary, e.TV has gone viral on social media creating controversies.

Some believed Sarkodie’s gesture with Nana Addo in the photo clearly tell his affiliation with the NPP so therefore his pressure on the Mahama-led governance recently is as a form of campaign for Nana Addo and the NPP.

However, the Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer of the NDC, Brogya Genfi has showed concerned in the picture but ceased to comment on it, rather reposted the picture from Nana Addo’s Facebook wall for his followers to “deal” with the rapper.

Captioned “No comment” on the picture, Brogya Genfi was rather chastised by the post by his own Facebook friends.

Among the numerous comments beneath the picture reads, “Why are you NDC’s so stupid? If anybody speak out his grievances then you affiliate him to a party. Why can't they speak? What is wrong with the picture? If u won't comment, Go! That a nice picture. Nana my new man and Sarkodie papabi” Harriet Naana Inkum commented
