Let Chieftaincy Be Attractive

The newly enstooled Abakomahene of Akuapem Ahwerase Nana Opare Kwafo I, has called on people with different agendas who buy their way into chieftaincy positions to create dispute among royal families to desist from such acts.

He said the time has come for communities to appoint leaders with vision, mission, and innovative ideas who can bring changes to the people which can bring decency to our cultural values and makes it more attractive.

Nana Kwafo was speaking at the ceremony after he was honoured and   enstool as  Abakomahene for Akuapem Ahwirase .

Nana Kwafo I advised the youth to concentrate on their studies and added that, they must venture into skilled and vocational training which can change their livelihood to contribute to national development. And not rely solely on white colour Jobs.

 He is also currently, the  Aburi Atweasin Kyedomhene . Nana Opare Kwarfo is an accountant by profession and the C.E.O of Jilcon Construction Limited.

Barimah Agyemang I, was also enstooled as the Manwerehene of Ahwerase, he is a public servant with the Ghana Health Service, serving as the Deputy Director for Policy Planning Monitoring and Evaluation (PPMED).

Speaking at the ceremony, Osabarima prof. Opare Addo II, Ahwerasehene urged, the newly enstooled chiefs to be committed to their work and see this new role as a call to serve the people.

On that same day, Nana Opare Kwafo I, the Manwerehene of Aburi Atweasin has been made the Kyedomhene of Aburi Atweasin after serving as Manwerehene for 7 years at Aburi Atweasin.

Nana Kwaasi Ntow Amanor,Gyasehene of Aburi Atweasin said, they elevated Nana Opare Kwafo due to his contribution to the community and hoped this new position would propel him to do greater things for Aburi Atweasin community.
