Muntaka Commissions Renovated School Block

The Member of Parliament for Asawase Constituency, Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak, has renovated an 18-unit classroom block at the Akurem M/A Primary School in the Asokore Mampong Municipality.

The project was funded with the MP’s share of the Social Investment Fund (SIF). 

At a ceremony to commission the project, Alhaji Mubarak reiterated government’s effort to ensure that every child of school-going age gets equal opportunity to learn under good and hygienic conditions, hence the need for the renovation of the classroom block.

According to him, it was his vision that the constituency becomes one of the best in the country in terms of education, and promised to complete the school’s computer laboratory to enhance ICT learning.

He also commended the Municipal Chief Executive and staff of the assembly for their hard work and support to accomplish the project.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Nurudeen Hamidan, on his part, tasked the student to take their studies seriously to become great future leaders.

He also advised teachers and students to maintain the school block and keep it in good condition always, and also seized the opportunity to show gratitude to the MP for his support to the assembly.

The acting Municipal Director of Education, Mr Chris Opoku Anim, charged teachers to give the children the best training at school.

He commended the MP and MCE for their keen support to the Education Directorate of the assembly.

Mr Opoku Anim promised his directorate’s support to ensure that the municipality becomes the best in the region in terms of education.

The headmistress of the Akorem M/A Primary School also expressed joy for the good work done, and promised that her staff will ensure that the facility is always maintained. She added that she is hopeful their grievances will be addressed as soon as possible.
