Afoko And Agyepong Have Left NPP Disheartened- Upper East Youth

From afar, the Upper East Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party have been keeping tabs on activities of their National Chairman and General; and have reported that they have been left disheartened following the manner in which the two keep handling party issues.

The group released a statement condemning Mr. Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong following the disrespect they showed to the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the NPP when they met constituency executives in the region without informing him about it.

They claim it was under this same uncanny circumstance that led to the death of the former Upper East Regional Chairman for the NPP, Adams Mahama; who was murdered by two assailants.

Read the statement below:

It's unfortunate and disheartening to see these national executives continually repeat actions and ignore warnings which led to the untimely demise of our regional Chairman.

It was reported that the two executives were found in a closed door meeting with some constituency executives of the Ashanti region without the knowledge of the Ashanti regional Chairman of the NPP, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako.

This same action of these two national officers has been fingered as the root cause of the satanic acid bath our late regional Chairman suffered which resulted in a big loss to our region and the NPP at large

As we mourn the death of our dear Chairman as a party, we expected that these two national officers would pick and make much lessons from such operations. But, that has not been so! How can you repeat a purported action that had caused the party such a harm and messes?

Can't these national officers in question, respect and duly inform all regional Chairmen they wish to enter their regions? What do they have to hide from these regional chairmen?

We also express shock in the actions of the national chairman, because we expected him as a son of the region (Upper East) to join us to mourn our beloved late chairman and not rather moving form regions to regions unduly.

Also, we wish to advice these two national officers of our party to as a matter of urgency, step aside as recommended by the rank and file of the party to pave way for peace within the party

But, as they prepare to step down, we, as a youth wing of the Upper East, would want to make the under listed recommendations.

1. These two national executives must honour the wishes of the late Adams Mahama before he passed on: that the national executives must unite and work together

2.. To abate and prevent any misfortune to befall the party before they step aside,  these two national officers must respect and humbly inform all regional Chairmen as due them before making any entry to any of the regions

3. Also, to all constituency and regional executives, we must make sure our respective regional chairmen are duly informed before we attend or communicate any such meetings. What has happened to us should not happen to any region.

The NPP is bigger than any individual and as such all we do should solely be in the interest of the NPP. The NPP would survive this; the NPP will cross this bridge to rescue Ghana from the incompetent hands of the NDC
