K Agyapong Should Thank His Stars...From Which Office Would He Have Issued Press Statements? - Baby Ansaba

Managing Editor of The New Punch, Ebenezer Atom Sam also known as Baby Ansaba believes the General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Agyapong’s ability to even issue a statement from his party office is due to the ceasefire directive issued by the Flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo.

According to him, Kwabena Agyapong would have found it difficult to communicate to the public by way of media releases, especially the clearing of some previously "disqualified" parliamentary aspirants if Nana Akufo-Addo had not called for a cessation of hostilities within the party.

It will be recalled that after the death of the NPP Upper East regional Chairman, Adams Mahama some of the party youth believed to be the Invisible Forces prevented the National Chairman Paul Afoko and the General Secretary Kwabena Agyapong from going into their offices.

Immediately after Nana Akufo-Addo has issued ceasefire and urged the youth to allow the executives to carry out their duties, Kwabena Agyapong and Paul Afoko were empowered again to carry out their duties.

Based on this, Baby Ansaba on Oman Fm’s National Agenda Morning Show pontificated that Kwabena Agyapong would not have had any locus in the matter involving the clearing of the six disqualified aspirants in the upcoming Parliamentary primaries.

The party’s office where Kwabena Agyapong would have issued the statement, he was barred from assessing it and so if Nana Akufo-Addo had not spoken and declared fasting and prayers, it would have been difficult to issue that statement”, he opined.

If Nana Akufo-Addo had not urged ceasefire, Kwabena Agyapong would have not had locus in this matter concerning clearing some disqualified aspirants; I am happy to hear Kwabena Agyapong issued a statement from the party’s head office”, he added.
