NADMO Distributes Relief Items To Flood Victims

The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) has begun distribution of relief items to victims of Wednesday’s rainstorm in Accra.

Hundreds of residents in Accra and its environs were left homeless after their buildings were submerged in water following the four-hour torrential rains.

The items, according to a sub-metro coordinator of NADMO, William Ayensu include blankets, mattresses, mosquito nets, rubber basins and many others.

He disclosed on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Friday that about 97 households and 556 people will receive the relief items.

Mr. Ayensu said due to the number of affected persons, they will need reinforcement to ensure equitable distribution of items.
