The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) private security called the “Invincible Forces,” has clashed with the personnel of the Ghana Police at the ongoing final funeral rites (ADUA) for the party’s Upper East Regional chairman, Adam Mahama.

This was after a misunderstanding ensued over who should protect the party’s flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo, his running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and some party executives. 

The Invincible Forces demanded to protect Nana Addo and Bawumia when the two were going round exchanging pleasantries with the late Adam Mahama’s family and some community leaders who had gathered for the ADUA at the Bolgatanga Jubilee Park.

The clashed lasted for about five minutes but calm was later restored.
