Hot Chase For Atta Akyeas Seat

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary seat for Abuakwa South Constituency is turning out to be the most hotly contested as a young and vibrant aspirant called Kingsley Kwame Agyemang gears up to fight the two-time sitting Member of Parliament(MP,) Lawyer Atta Akyea in the party’s upcoming Parliamentary primaries on June 13, 2015.

Mr. Atta AKyea has in the past two terms seen no competition at the primaries and therefore this attempt by two new aspirants to unseat him is likely to pose a major challenge to the sitting MP.

This paper has learnt Kwame Agyemang, is currently enjoying the support and compliments of the delegates and the youth of the constituency.

Mr. Agyemang who addressed newsmen at the launch of his campaign indicated that the time has come for the Abuakwa South constituency to shift gears and move in a different direction that will bring about radical change to the livelihood of the constituents.

He said, to achieve this change, it requires that the delegates vote for an energetic and a dynamic person who has what it takes to bring the party together and increase the votes of the Flagbearer and by a larger extent increase the fortunes of the party as well.

Mr. Agyemang stated that his motive and ambition is to be a peacemaker who will bring all party members together towards a common goal which is to win the 2016 elections massively.

He also hinted that about 20,000 people didn’t vote in the previous election and that he was going to ensure that he canvasses for all those votes for the party.

“But to be able to do or achieve this, the constituency needs someone who is affable, approachable and above all very diligent”, he added.
