Accra's Flooding Is "Purely A Political Issue"...We Won't Stop Politicizing It - NPP Communicator

Aspiring NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Manhyia North Constituency, Nana Boakye, has blamed the Mahama administration for the hundreds of grisly deaths that occurred last Wednesday at the GOIL fuel station at Circle.

Commenting on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" proogramme, Nana Boakye held strongly that the Mahama-led government cannot absolve itself from blame over the incident.

According to him, the gas explosion is a political matter.

Nana Boakye told host Kwami Sefa Kayi emphatically that the fuel station explosion is "purely a political matter" and not a "partisan politics affair" because the government of the day would have ridden on the wings of the country's fortunes to score political points in the 2016 general elections if it was in opposition.

This is purely a political matter; purely politics. So, I plead with those who are saying we shouldn’t politicize this issue; I think it is so wrong. This is a political issue. Somebody can say we shouldn’t make it partisan politics which I can accept…but it is purely a political matter and the government would have to be blamed for this."
