AFAG Holds First Demonstration

The Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG) has held its first public demonstration in Accra to register what they described as hard economic conditions facing Ghanaians. The demonstration dubbed �Atta Adaadaa Yen� (Atta Has Deceived Us) was well attended by mostly traders, students, fishermen among others. The demonstrators were holding placards some of which read:, Where Is The I Care For You That You Promised? Agya Atta � No Petrol, No Premix Fuel, Why? Why Increase In School Fees, Why This Killer Loans Uncle Atta. The NPP General Secretary, Nana Ohene Ntow, former Ministers of State and MPs such as Dan Botwe, Felix Owusu Adjapong, Kan Dapaah, B. B. Boateng, Ayorkor Botchwey, Isaac Asiamah, Opare Ansah as well as Asamoah Boateng and his wife were there to show support for the group. Speaking to the demonstrators, the spokesperson for AFAG, Kwabena Bonfeh said the government of President Mills has shown a high sense of insensitive to the plight of Ghanaians over the last six months that it had been in power. He criticized the President for deceiving Ghanaians and urged him to pay attention to the promise he made to ensure the better Ghana that he promised. Some of the demonstrators who spoke to Peace FM said the administration of President Mills has worsened their living conditions and urged President Mills to focus on how to find solutions to the many problems that are surfacing.
